I love how Stacey's supposed to be sooooo sophisticated and grown up, especially compared to the other girls, but her favorite movie of all time is Mary Poppins.

Stacey's annoying. But she does have divorced parents and diabetes.
I'm rereading the series right now, and I cannot get over the fact that Stacey is SO pretentious. Like seriously, when you're thirteen, you shouldn't be concerned with sophistication at all - especially since it's kind of impossible to be sophisticated at that age.
And having divorced parents and diabetes doesn't give you an excuse to walk around, pretending you're all grown up because you lived in New York and have a perm.
