I am insane. No, seriously.

I've had some big news since my last post. Namely, I'm starting a new job on Halloween. And it's about 500 miles away. And I have just about two weeks to plan and execute the move. So, my posting for the next few weeks will be irregular at best. So, keep checking back!! But don't expect too much. I have a ton of shit to do. But I do plan on getting "Mallory's Cooties" posted at some point next week. So there!

(And go Sox!)

Wow! Good luck with your move. I've moved way too many times in my life, so I know how stressful it is. I can't imagine trying to do it all in two weeks.

Come to think of it, this kind of sounds like something the BSC would have done, don't you think? And of course they would have been completely successful and had time to organize and execute a packing party with attached carnival!

Are you moving to Stoneybrook?! Haha...

I seem to remember you are in Dayton (as am I) and I have to say while I know you'll miss the Dirty D, have a great move and enjoy!

Best of luck with the move!

And Go Sox!

Ooh good luck!! I'll continue to loyally check the blog to see what our friendly neighborhood BSC is up to.

[Edit: I really wish blogger let you edit your comments]

Is it wrong that this makes me think of #13, Goodbye Stacey, Goodbye? The McGills packed an entire house, and with the help of the BSC held an extremely successful garage sale. PLUS, the BSC still had time to throw the requisite party AND (oh no, that's not all!) paint the obligatory banner.

Speaking of which, where the hell did they keep getting sheets for the banners? Don't you think their parents would've noticed their linens disappearing?

Anyway, congrats on your new job!! :) And best of luck with your move!

Congratulations!

Good luck!!! Don't forget to have a massive party with all the kids in your neighbourhood (and nobody your own age)! XD

Thought of you last night, btw. My dad's been having nonstop problems with his computer, and yesterday he discovered that the problems were caused by a particularly nasty virus that had got past his security software.

The name of the virus? "Malware".

This amused me far more than it should.

Good luck with the move/new job Tiff!

Just make sure you come back to us eventually! (I can take a break, but if this blog died? I think I might die...)

I'll paint a going away banner for you!!

Yay for new jobs :)

Congrats on the job, and good luck with the move! I've moved so many times, I'm feeling twitchy just thinking of it. Hope you get settled quickly...

Congratulations on the job Tiff, good luck with the move! :)

I want to paint you a banner that says "Good Luck with Your Move, Tiff!" (complete with quotation marks, of course).

Go Sox! :)

As a Mets fan (sob), I can chime in with a "GO SOX!"

Good luck with the move. Where ya headed?

Congratulations on the new job! We'll be here waiting for you when you start posting regularly again--your posts are the highlight of my Mondays.

HEy... LOVe the blog.
Would you do Dawn's Big Date next?? I remember it's terrible how Dawn tries to go for a "bad girl" image-- including taking a picture of herself while doing a POUT complete with a SMOKING expression. When I was 10, i thought that was hot, but i have a feeling not anymore!!!

i've been misreading "BCS Rankings" headlines as "BSC Rankings" and wondering if they're ranking worst books? most annoying characters? maybe it's a good thing you're taking some time off from the blog... i say you go all kristy on your move and show it who's boss.

Melissa said...

Congrats and good luck! :)

Good luck with the move!
Ack, I'm going to miss you, your weekly reviews are like my crack. Just like the BSC book, "Stacy Does Crack Because the Popular Kids Tell Her it's Cool."

Oops, that comment was from me.

GO INDIANS!!!! :)

My friend sent me the link to this blog, and I have been reading it all day and laughing hysterically. You should read #97: Claudia and the World's Cutest Baby (aka Claudia Finally Realizes How Incredibly Annoying She Is).

Good luck on the move and congrats on the job!

Hey, when it's closer to Haloween, can you review one of the books that takes place during one of the many million Haloweens they go though?

And skipping Thanksgiving (even though there's some Thanksgiving play w/ Claudia), for the holidays can you do the Super Mystery #4? I think it's the Christmas Chiller or something.

congrats on the new job! go sox!

Congrats on the job. ^_^ Sounds hectic and yet awesome all in one.
I'm looking forward to Mallory's Cooties when you get a chance to blog about the awesomely awesome Poor Mallory.

A whole book about her suffering....it's like a gift from the ghostwriters directly to us. ^_^

While I am happy for your new job, I am already missing my BSC fix for the week...it really helps get me through my Mondays. Hey it just occurred to me that in the one "year" of eighth (or sixth) grade, Dawn, Mary Ann, Kristi, Jessi, and Logan all move somewhere, and Stacey moves twice. That's insane. Nobody moved that much when i was in eighth grade, especially not the same group of friends.

Congratulations & good luck!

Good Luck with the move and the new job!! (Also, of course.. GO SOX! (or Boston Somethings, as Stacey might say...)

Good luck in your life's journies.

Luckily (for us) you can read the BSC anywhere. They're like comfort food.

Well, sort of.

oh my . . . how lame is it that as a small town gal in west Texas, I based my entire perception of NYC on Stacey's comments about it & I sooo wanted to live there!!!???

I loved these books -- and now when I read them I realize how boring & repetitive they are. I would stay up until 3 or 4am reading my new ones back in the day . .

your posts made me laugh out loud:)good luck with the move!

Are you moving to Chi-Town?

Anyway, good luck and make sure that the movers don't lose your books. ;)

Love, Anastasia

Good luck! Go sox! (Chicago?)

I just found your blog and love it. I can't understand why I thought these books were the best thing ever like 15 years ago. They are so unbelievably lame, so thats for reading them and summarizing them in your awesome snarky way!

Come back soon! I love reading this blog. I own all of the BSC books through #92, and all of the Super Specials through Shadow Lake. I started reading them again and laughing at their stupidity since I found your blog.

Sounds almost as bad as an overseas' move to plan and pack in less than two weeks. Just hope that the movers will handle your boxes and furniture with more tender loving care than they handled mine when I moved back to the old continent...

Cheers, and overall, have fun, even though it would have been so much more fun with the banner and 20 kids running around helping you pack.. or not!

Oh, that's fucking awesome! Thanks! :D

Now all I need to ensure 100% procrastination is one on the Gymnasts books - which I must have stopped reading before or only shortly after I started studying Japanese, because it's only just hit me that one of the main characters' surnames (Baca) is Japanese for "dumbass". The fact that Lauren Baca was the walking encyclopaedia of the group amuses me all the more.

Come back! We miss you!

Hope it was a smooth transition!

We should follow the fine tradition of the BSC and make a Super Special for Tiff, in which we write about retarded things we've done. Bonus points if your story involves acting a radically different age than you actually are, or being weirdly friendly with the kids in your neighbourhood in lieu of having friends your own age.

Hope the move's going OK, Tiff. :D

And outfits! Don't forget the outfits!

so the sox killed it huh?

I'm looking forward to your return. Hope everything's going okay--first day today, right? I've been looking at a few similar blogs on other YA series to satisfy my addiction, and I'm starting to miss both the BSC content and your ability to spell and use grammar!

Also: I coach a cross country team, and I've used the sweat-perspire-glow phrase at least half a dozen times this season, all before reading the last post.

kiwimusume said...

If ever you're stuck about what to review one week, I recommend Stacey McGill, Super Sitter. Just reread it now and fucking hell it is even worse than I remembered. These bitches actually have the kids they sit for involved in their fucking love lives. Just...*bangs head against hard surface*

It seems appropriate that my verification code contains the word "gags".

I've just found this blog and I gotta tell you, I haven't done a second of work this week cause I can't stop reading at my cubicle. Thank you for the entertainment and distraction.

omg, I think I am dying without your post on Mallory's Cootie's. I found this blog right before your hiatus and read it all in two nights. I even went and found my copy of Mallory's Cootie's so that I could be adequately prepared. Please . . . I hope all is well, but please, please, please, throw us a bone!!
