All in a muddle

Okay, update. Things are still really crazy for me, but I am trying to get a post done. I'm hoping it'll be up sometime next week.

In the meantime, continue to amuse yourselves with verification word fanfic.

Oooh, I found a place where you can read some of the BSC books online for free!

http://www.scribd.com/doc/394511/Martin-Ann-M-BSC-01

I read a few yesterday. Heh.

PS I got iteszn as a word verification. :|

Oh poop, I don't know why it got cut off. There should be a 01 after the dash following BSC in the URL.

Yay Tiff!

Hqzitia. The religion of a new family that comes to town. Everyone is prejudiced against them for the first ten pages of the book and then it just randomly goes away.

I'm glad you're coming back. I was starting to think you left us forever and I would never have a reason to laugh on Mondays again.

Ooooh, Tif, your verification word "fanfic" is BSC shorthand for "fantastic & terrific". They use it when something extra special and exciting happens in Stoneybrook, like filming a movie.

Mine is "kenjiie", which is obviously a new babysitting charge whose parents were trying too hard to be original.

That may be the context that non-'Brookers use it in, but given that nobody in the 'Brook ever pays attention to any form of media created after the 1950s, "fanfic" could very well be a synonym for "dibbly fresh". XD

My verification word is ridktor, which is Claudia speak for "riding to Kristy's tomorrow."

Pnqmm. . . . that sounds like another food one, can you guys come up with anything better?

Annd, I have a really, really bizzare dream last night that tehre would be an updated on this blog tomorrow. And Tiff moved to New York City and the blog was about how she hated it because it smelled like sunscreen. How Stacey did not come into this dream, I have no clue.

so I was like...half right

Ok, so, the Litip's are gay and have four cute kids.

Now.... which BSC member is homophobic?! Dun dun dun

Cari said...

Ernrs ... Benny Ott's annoying cousin from out of town.

Beeuf. The BSC always has a beeuf.

The BSC niphd the homophobia in the bud.

"fulish." an obvious claud mispelling.

gfocjpp- Karen's acronym for the club that the Three Musketeers begin-
Girl Friends Only Can Join Perfect Partners.

It folds after three "meetings" partly because Karen is so bossy and partly because Hannie keeps mixing up the letters.

Manteli said...

Karen's gay?!

(perfect partners/girlfriends)

neojgoe: a supercool "underground" New York band that Stacey totally gets into on a visit to her dad's. And for some inexplicable reason, they come to Stoneybrook and play SMS, and the BSC (mostly MA's NY obsession and Kristy's indifference to anyone else's feelings) embarrasses Stacey in front of the cool New Yorkers.

At the end of the book, Stacey realizes that only people not from New York are impressed by New Yorkers, so in order to get those ego-strokes she so desperately craves, decides to forgive them. And they all go out to eat ice cream (except Dawn, who eats, like, a napkin, and Stacey, who eats only bitterness).

"fulish" is awesome.

eponine said...

Woxlqv. This is a food that Dawn eats. It is a mixture of grass, pine cones, recycled paper, and recycled buttons for flavor. These ingredients are ground into a plesant looking light green spread and served with no fat, no wheat, no harming the environment crackers. Dawn tries to get the rest of the BSC to eat woxlqv, but they refuse and then shes bitches them out for being earth haters.

Bquqgzgy!

A game that's really popular in the neighborhood. Kristy has a great idea to have a contest in it, some dramatic shit happens, and the game is never heard from again.

The name Karen makes up for "Morbida Destiny's" sister.

Phivsda is the name of the new girl at SMS that Stacey tried to befriend. They hang out for awhile because she's totally cool. Then it is revealed that she hates kids so Stacey dumps her. Phivsda joins the paper and becomes friends with Emily and steals Logan away from Mary Anne.

Manteli said...

hehe - nothing to do with the BSC, but my veriphrase was "WTFER"

which is like... what the fucker?

Umm....can someone please give me a breakdown of what the Friends Forever series is and when it showed up and why?? I started reading FF#5 and I'm totally confused...the writer is suddenly trying to be "cool" and use slang and shit, wtf?!

Also...
Why do stacey and claudia hate each other?

Who the fuck is Jeremy?

Why are Maryanne and Logan broken up?

When did Maryanne's house burn down????

Where are Dawn, Jessi and Mallory??

Is this like a totally different series or a continuation of the old books? I'm totally lost and it's pissing me off lol. Any help would be appreciated :)

maylin said...

shelley, i think i can help.
claudia and stacey hate each other because they were fighting over this new boy, jeremy. claud thought she had a chance with him when stacey stole him.
mary ann and logan broke up because basically the same reasons as before...logan being too dominating, and them getting tired of each other. boring.
mary ann's house burned down somewhere in book 80-90...
and the other memberws left because they couldn't commit and wanted to do other stuff.
yeah. hope i helped.

Just wanted to say that this is definitely one of my new favorite blogs. Sadly enough, Claudia was one of my childhood heroes.
